Go therefore and make disciples...

Fuel Behind Our Mission

By Marci Menchaca
Jesus said, "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.”  Luke 18:16-17 ESV

We believe that children are hard-wired to come to Jesus, believe in Him, follow Him, and grow up with hearts close to His.  In these 20 plus years of reaching out to children and youth, we have found them open to the message of the kingdom of God.

Jesus said, “Let them come”, and “do not hinder them from coming."  Let us never forget that The Kingdom of God BELONGS TO THEM!  The two greatest variables are that children are able to hear the message of the Good News about Jesus AND that this message is shared with them in a way they can understand and apply to their lives.

What is paramount that needs to be done is to not hinder them; to remove the barriers and allow them to come to Jesus.  The call of God on our lives has been to specialize in doing just these things.  As we have followed The Lord’s lead in this way, we have seen thousands upon thousands of children and youth come to hear about  Jesus.  They want to come, they just need to be given the opportunity.

For whatever reason, there are hindrances and barriers to today’s young people coming to church for exposure to the Good News of Jesus Christ.  Our philosophy is simple:  House of Faith at its core, base, fundamental level is about Taking JESUS to Neighborhood Children, Youth, and Families.  Instead of waiting for them to come to church to hear about Jesus, we take Jesus to them so they may have an opportunity to meet Him.

This happens in their own neighborhood, in an environment that is “home turf” to them.
Once this happens, they are in relationship, both with the Lord and other believers, and then the transition to a local church body becomes more natural and unhindered.

Our hope and prayer is, and has always been, to be used of God to help young people to become the men and women of God He has called them to be, however that looks for them.

As you browse this website, please know that our prayer for you is to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ and to walk with Him all of your days.  If we can help you or answer any questions for you, please do not hesitate to contact us.

In Him and for them,
