The year 2025 has made its entrance and House of Faith’s mission to take Jesus to neighborhood children, youth, and families is STILL at the heart of our ministry as we continue to lead our families to PURSUE the LORD every day!
At our family Christmas parties, each family that attended received a book called The Biggest Story Family Devotional, along with a BIG CHALLENGE: to make reading through the Bible at home as a FAMILY a priority this year. The families were encouraged to INVEST time in the important work of building strong, healthy, and godly families by reading the devotional and working through the Bible together, daily.
To further reinforce the work that is being done at home, our teams are incorporating those same materials and stories that the families are focusing on each week, into the curriculum for our elementary through high school students attending Backyard Bible Clubs and House of Faith’s 321 youth program! We are also posting encouragement on our social media platforms, to include as many as possible to join in this challenge.
We understand the importance of the ENTIRE family PURSUING the Lord TOGETHER, and we are working hard to remove as many obstacles as possible by providing resources and encouragement as we help our families grow in their faith.
Here is what one family has to say about their experience with this family devotional: “We love it!! … They [the kids] love the short videos and the questions. It is going very well….They love that it's relatable and it makes the Bible easier for them to understand.”
It is our hope and prayer that the LORD will use this combined effort to encourage the children, youth, and families to PURSUE the Lord and, in so doing, make a positive impact in their lives and in our communities.
We look forward with great anticipation and the expectation of what God will continue to do in our families this year as we all strive to make CHRIST the center of our lives and homes, daily.
