A Strong in the Lord Summer

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:10-12 ESV)

We are so excited to be teaching the children, youth, and families of House of Faith about being Strong in the Lord this summer! Now, more than ever, students and families need to be aware of the spiritual battle we are in and be equipped to stand against a scheming enemy.

We had a great time at Kid’s Connection with 130 students going in to K-5th grade! Students enjoyed 3 full days with crafts, outside activities, a worship class and Bible stories. They came each morning filled with excited anticipation, and parents reported that they went home each day thrilled to share about what they learned. What a joy to witness our youngest students learning to stand firm in God’s mighty strength!

Kid’s Connection this year wrapped up with our first ever Family Celebration Night. Families gathered for a powerful evening as the students recited their verses and sang the worship songs they learned throughout the week. This was our second successful family event of the summer, with the first being a family pool party; both events have been loved by the families who attended!

Our summer is off to a great start, and we still have a lot ahead! Please continue to pray for us as we keep taking Jesus to neighborhood children, youth, and families this summer. Your prayers and support are so valuable to us!
